Yahya al-Hajuri's Lie Against Allaah's Book and False Witness Against the Companions

Refer to this page for Arabic. In his explanation of the saying of Allaah, the Exalted, (أَوَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَدْ أَصَبْتُم مِّثْلَيْهَا قُلْتُمْ أَنَّى هَـذَا قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِندِ أَنْفُسِكُمْ إِنَّ اللّهَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ), "When a single disaster smites you, although you smote (your enemies) with one twice as great, you say: "From where does this come to us?" Say (to them), "It is from yourselves (because of your evil deeds)." And Allaah has power over all things." (3:165), Yahya al-Hajuri said:

Yes, (أَصَبْتُم مِّثْلَيْهَا), Allaah knew that they were afflicted - meaning the battle of Badr - they were afflicted with two (calamities) of its likes of disobedience, as for us, we have been afflicted with (numerous) of its likes, two of its likes or many of its likes, its likes are many, a calamity befalls us, a calamity befalls us, many of its like befall us due to disobedience, it is not just two of its likes, (أَوَلَمَّا أَصَابَتْكُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَدْ أَصَبْتُم مِّثْلَيْهَا), this is regarding the Companions of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam) in that incident, in that battle, they were afflicted with (punishment) for two disobediences, so Allaah inflicted a calamity upon them on account of two disobediences that occurred from them, disobedience of the Prophet (sallallaahu alayhi wasallam), when he commanded them with respect to descending, meaning descending from the mountain for the sake of the booty, or a disobedience that Allaah, the Mighty and Majestic knew (from them). As for us, then many of its like have befallen us...

This is a lie upon Allaah, the Sublime and Exalted, it is speaking without knowledge, and it is a revilement upon the Companions, as no disobedience arose from the Companions in the battle of Badr. This is false witness against the Companions participating in the battle of Badr, may Allaah be pleased with them. Rather, the correct interpretation of the verse, when referring back to the mufassireen from the Salaf, is that Allaah is consoling the believers and stating that though they have been afflicted with a calamity in the battle of Uhud, of losing seventy as martyrs, they inflicted twice this calamity upon the disbelievers in the battle of Badr, when they killed seventy and took seventy captive. And from the contemporary mufassireen, Allaamah al-Sa'dee said in Tayseer al-Kareem al-Rahmaan (p. 156):

This is a consolation from Allaah, the Exalted, to His believing servants when they were afflicted by what afflicted them on the Day of Uhud and around seventy of them were killed, (قَدْ أَصَبْتُم), you afflicted, upon the pagans, (مِّثْلَيْهَا) twice its like, on the day of Badr, so you killed seventy of their senior ones and you took seventy captive. So let the matter be light and let the calamity be lightened upon you, alongside (the fact) that you and they are not equal, for your dead are in Paradise and their dead are in the Hellfire.

We are searching for al-Hajuri's tawbah where in he says, "I seek forgiveness from Allaah, I make tawbah to Allaah, this is a gross error and speaking about Allaah without knowledge, a revilement upon the Companions, is false witness, and is a tafseer baatil (false interpretation), rather the truth is as al-Tabari, Ibn Katheer, al-Sa'dee and others have said" and we are looking for the assistance of his followers to help us find where this tawbah can be found in audio or written format.
